Geovic Mining Corp. is a United States based mining company whose principal asset is a significant cobalt-nickel-manganese property in Cameroon, Africa. The Company owns 60% of seven related deposits located on a 1,250 square kilometer mine permit through its GeoCam joint venture with the Cameroon government. The first two deposits, Nkamouna (pronounced ka-moon-ah) and Mada, have significant reserves and resources. The first deposit to be developed, Nkamouna, is expected to commence production by late 2012, with the adjoining Mada property logically the next in line. |
